History of the Church

The Coptic Orthodox Church is the oldest church in the world and is the original church. It was established by St. Mark the apostle in Alexandria, Egypt, declaring the Coptic Church, and Apostolic church. The christians in Egypt met persecutions during the reigns of the Roman Emperors and are still persecuted from all over the world. For this reason, we commemorate the martyrs and saints based off the Coptic calendar. The Coptic church has existed for more than nineteen centuries and was the subject of many prophecies in the Old Testament. Isaiah the prophet said " In the day there will be an altar to the lord in the midst of the land of Egypt and a pillar to the lord at its border."

OUR VISION

Our hopes for the club are to provide and foster a close knit community for Coptic Christians to engulf themselves with. We also hope to inspire non-Copts to learn about the faith.

WHAT WE DO

As a club, we hold bi-weekly club meetings (and occasionally other weekly events) with different guest speakers and different topics. Not only do we provide informational meetings but we also cultivate life-long friendships through fellowship.

OUR COMMUNITY

The Coptic community is a very tight-knit family, yolked together. We welcome newcomers and those interested in learning about the faith to come join our family.
